Open Mic Night hosted by Mina Goodman
Every Friday from 6pm to 8pm
There is a $5 cover charge for everyone who intends to play or listen. We offer snacks, drinks, and a family friendly environment. Please note that no alcohol or illicit substances are allowed at The Art Place. Vintage in the Valley during the Chilhowie Apple Festival
Saturday, September 27th 10am to 6pm
The Art Place will be offering both indoor and outdoor activities. FREE Kid’s Art. Local artists demonstrating their favorite art forms. Inside will feature Vintage Items & Artwork, local artists work & appearances throughout the day, “Make & Take” Apple Art activities.
“Acrylic Paint-Alongs” with Mina GoodmanThursday
Mina will walk you through every step of her beginner friendly paintings.Everyone will be working on 8x10 stretched canvas with acrylic paint. The fee is $25 per person. To reserve your spot and materials, please contact Mina via email at minamirkwood@gmail.com

Stained Glass Saturday
”Please contact Kaloni with any questions about bringing a child to class. (NO CLASS on Saturday, September 27th)- These classes will be open every Saturday from 2pm to 4pm unless Kaloni has a prescheduled event. You will be able to create your own pre-foiled design and learn the soldering process. We do not (currently) offer stained glass cutting in this class. This class is $20 per 2-hour session.
Custom Card Making Workshop
Thursday, August 21st from 5:30pm to 7pm (Walk-Ins Welcome)
Crystal Smith from “Crystal's Card Shop” will be joining us to help us create up to 5 of our own custom notecards and a storage box. The fee is $10 per person. Crafts with Crystal

Classes with Kaloni - Littles
Tuesdays from 4pm to 6pm and Sundays from 5pm to 7pm
This class is now open to children ages 5 to 9 with a big love for making art. They work with various materials and techniques to find their own creative voices. Kaloni’s littles classes are $15 per 2-hour session or $50 a month for those who wish to come every week. Classes with Kaloni - Middles
Thursdays from 5pm-7pm
This class is open to children ages 10 to 15 who truly enjoy art. Kaloni strives to help each of these children broaden their creative abilities and to develop their individual style. Kaloni’s Middles classes are $15 per 2-hour session or $50 a month for those who wish to come every week. The Henderson Jammers
Sunday, September 14th from 2pm-4pm
The Henderson Jammers will be at The Art Place to provide live music. They welcome other pickers and players to join in on the fun. This event is FREEand open to the public. Donations to The Art Place are always appreciated. Snacks will be available.
Aspiring Artists - ALL Ages
Join Kaloni outside for some “make & take” Art options.
Every Saturday from 2pm-4pm
This class is open to all ages with any type of skill level. In this class, the participants will get to choose their own materials and subject matter. Class session fees will be $20 per 2-hour session (price may vary based on project. We are willing to offer family and monthly rates). To reserve your spot, please register online via this website. “Kids Art Club”
Every Saturday starting at 11am
This is a foundational art class for children ages 4+. ) Kaloni will be there every Saturday unless she has a personal event. Dina will be there every other week to help with the little ones as a spinoff of her previous classes. Diana, Liam, and Eli are all also wonderful with children and will sometimes help with classes. - This class is open to children ages 4+. They will have the opportunity to make more than 1 project. The fee will be $10 per 1-hour session with 2 instructors if needed (all proceeds from this class go directly to The Art Place children’s program). Watercolor classes with Mina
Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm
Watercolor classes with Mina. Mina is an experienced Watercolor painter and Instructor. She works through various techniques and helps students better understand how to use this fast and fun medium.Every class is beginner friendly, and you don’t “fall behind” if you miss a week.
