April
April will be focused on the Youth show. We will be rotating the work in this space on a regular basis to allow more local artists to have display and sale opportunities. The Henderson Jammers
Sunday, April 12th from 2pm to 4pm
The Henderson Jammers will be at The Art Place to provide live music. They welcome other pickers and players to join in on the fun. This event is FREE and open to the public. Donations to The Art Place are always appreciated. Snacks will be available.
NEW: 1 hour- Community Singing Workshop with experienced Instructor, Carol Raedy
The last Sunday of every month from 2pm to 3pm
Join us on the last Sunday of every month 2pm to 3pm when she will lead you in easy to learn songs with rich harmonies. No singing experience or music reading is needed. You will sing songs from a variety of styles and cultures as you learn healthy singing practices and gain confidence in your voice. This workshop is for anyone who enjoys singing (even if it is just in the shower) and would like to join others for some singing fun and fellowship. You will leave with a smile on your face and a deeper sense of the common bonds that unite us all. This workshop is designed to build a sense of community. The fee will be $10 per person. Open Mic Night hosted by Mina Goodman
Every Friday from 6pm to 9pm
There is a $5 cover charge for everyone who intends to play or listen. We offer snacks, drinks, and a family-friendly environment. Please note that no alcohol or illicit substances are allowed at The Art Place. APRIL THEME NIGHT-Friday, April 24th- “Country/Western”. Classes with Kaloni - Littles
Tuesdays from 4pm to 6pm and Saturdays from 11am to 1pm, no Sunday availability in April.
(open to ages 5+, children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult)
This class is now open to children ages 5 to 9 with a big love for making art. They work with various materials and techniques to find their own creative voices. Kaloni’s littles classes are $15 per 2-hour session or $50 a month for those who wish to come every week. She requires 24 hours' notice to accept new students and confirmation with guardians prior to each class. Acrylic Paint-Alongs with Mina
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm to 8pm
Every painting for February has a fun “love” theme. Mina will walk you through each step of her beginner friendly paintings. Everyone will be working on 8x10 stretched canvas with acrylic paint.
