The Art Place Membership
The Art Place needs your help. This gallery has been a staple to the art community in Chilhowie and all of Smyth County since the early 90s. The Bonham/Love family has run the The Art Place since its beginning. Since the passing of our founder, Edna Love, we have been looking for sustainable ways to keep the gallery operating in the community. Our membership options offer you a way to help and get exclusive discounts on our services. We are excited about the future and offer many opportunities to learn about and experience various visual Art and Music forms. Membership at The Art Place is a great way to support local arts while enjoying exclusive benefits. We offer four easy and affordable membership options:
Student Membership -Free (For college students: Must provide a copy of a valid student ID)
Senior Citizen Membership -$25/year (Ages 65+)
Individual Membership -$30/year
Family Membership - $50/year (for up to 3 people, $5/year for each additional member)
Member Benefits:
Open Mic Night 2 FREE admissions per membership year
Classes & Workshops
-15% discount for current members on 1 class per membership year
Semi-private studio space
-Non-Members- Semi-private Studio Time... $10 per 2 hours
-Member- 2 hours free semi-private Studio Time per membership year... $5 per 2 hours for additional time
Consignment & Display fees for both of our gallery spaces
-30% commission on sold artwork for current members (free to display)
-40% commission for non-members ($5 per piece to display)
FREE finishing in your desired style for 1 piece of Artwork per Membership Year. (Must provide your own frame. Mat will be cut to fit your specifications in your choice of color.)
